Dadi’s Kitchen Agent is a locally powered Agentic AI assistant designed to deliver conversational cooking guidance grounded in a dedicated recipe knowledge base. Built using React, Node.js, Ollama, and retrieval-augmented generation, the system can understand food-related questions, retrieve relevant recipes and cooking information, and generate clear, context-aware responses. Voice input, text-to-speech, animated listening, thinking and speaking states, and a custom grandmother-inspired visual interface create a warm and engaging kitchen companion. The project demonstrates how private, extensible AI technology can transform traditional culinary knowledge into an interactive experience without relying on usage-based cloud AI services.
